The questions listed below are the most frequently asked questions about our elective prenatal ultrasound packages. We cover the information you will need to know about 2D, 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasound, and what to expect when you arrive at our imaging center. Q: How will COVID-19 affect my elective ultrasound appointment?
Important Update For Our Clients – COVID-19
At Sweet Baby O’ Mine our focus and commitment is to provide the best quality care to our clients. With that in mind, we continue to closely monitor the outbreak of the coronavirus known as COVID-19.
Because Florida’s economy is fully open we encourage our expectant moms to bring as many family and friends as they’d like. We will continue to offer Sonostream for additional family members who are uncomfortable attending. Please know we will also provide FREE Wi-Fi so you may FaceTime, Skype, or WhatsApp.
CHILDREN ~>>>> Yes, of course we allow you to bring your kiddos with you to your appointment. We just ask that younger children be inside a stroller.
Please no food/snacks.
IMPORTANT NOTE ~>>>> – Because of its elective nature, this ultrasound
was requested by you and you fully understand that COVID-19/Coronavirus can potentially be contracted. You acknowledge that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19/Coronavirus exists in any public place where people are present. By visiting the Sweet Baby O’ Mine Studio, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19/Coronavirus.
What to do prior to your appointment:Complete your paperwork on-line prior to your arrival. The on-line paperwork is the easiest route to get this completed.
If you prefer to print and fill out your paperwork by hand you may do so. Just print, complete and sign the ‘Client Registration Form‘ and the ‘Waiver Of Liability‘. You may email the completed Client Registration Form, Waiver Of Liability and Proof of Prenatal Care ~OR~ you may bring in the completed hardcopies with you.
IMPORTANT NOTE ~>>>> – You do not have to complete more than one set of
paperwork. You may choose on-line ~OR~ printing.
Please make sure to have Proof of Prenatal Care. As mentioned, we need to verify that you are under prenatal care with this pregnancy. We cannot perform a 2D/3D/4D/Real View HD ultrasound without it. There are several ways this can be accomplished. Please see below FAQ further details.
What to do when you arrive to your appointment:
Please peek inside to see if there are guests in the lobby. If there are guests in the lobby please remain outside with your entire party. If there are no guests in the lobby please use the hand sanitizer provided and then make your way into the lobby. You will see a comfy couch on your right-hand side. Please feel free to take a seat with your guests.
If you need to use the restroom you are more than welcome to do so as we prefer an empty bladder for baby pictures. Please be mindful of the hand washing sign posted inside our restroom.
We encourage our clients and their guests to wear face coverings when visiting the Studio.
Please have the following out and ready:
- Completed Client Registration Form
- Completed Waiver Of Liability
- Proof of Prenatal Care
- Form of Payment (Cash ~OR~ Credit Card)
Please ask yourself ~AND~ all of your guests these three questions:
- Have you had or currently have any symptoms such as fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath in the last 14 days?
- Have you been in contact or exposed to anyone with the COVID-19?
- Have you been out of the country or on a cruise in the last 30 days?

The safety and well-being of our clients are of the utmost importance to us, so we ask that you are mindful of our appointment protocols.
Steps we are taking at Sweet Baby O’ Mine:
- Staff members are receiving instruction and ongoing updates about COVID-19, hand hygiene and other safety measures to decrease the likelihood of contracting or transmitting the infection.
- We are sanitizing all common/work areas daily.
- The ultrasound bed will be sanitized following each client visit.
Pregnancy and COVID-19:
Pregnant women can contract coronavirus, but information on transmission to the fetus or newborn babies during breastfeeding are unknown. Please
monitor the CDC for further information.
COVID-19:
COVID-19 is an evolving issue with new guidelines and information daily. We encourage you to keep yourself updated on information about coronavirus by following the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) <https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html> and FloridaDepartment of Health <http://www.floridahealth.gov/diseases-and-conditions/COVID-19/> websites.
Protect yourself and your community:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand-sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Face coverings.

If you have any of these symptoms:
- PLEASE RESCHEDULE YOUR SWEET BABY O’ MINE APPOINTMENT!!
- Call your primary care physician or the Florida Department of Health (866-779-6121—open 24/7) for instructions.
- To limit potential exposure to others, please contact your doctor’s office prior to going to their office.
- Tell your healthcare provider or the Florida Department of Health about any recent travel or contact with people who have traveled internationally.
- The Florida Department of Health and the CDC will determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19.

Q: What is an elective prenatal ultrasound?
We offer elective 2D, 3D, 4D & Real View HD prenatal ultrasounds to provide a positive bonding experience for the mother, father and family members with the unborn baby. We feel that realistic surface images provide a connection between the parents and baby that can be beneficial to the whole family.
We make no claims that 3D, 4D or Real Live HD as used in this examination is performed to better assess the baby for abnormalities. A routine ultrasound examination must have already been performed to assess the gestational age of the fetus and to evaluate for fetal anomalies as well as the basic components of fetal anatomy recommended for screening.
Q: Does this take the place of an ultrasound at my doctor’s office?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound MUST be receiving treatment with a healthcare provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a medical, diagnostic ultrasound ordered by their provider to confirm their due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and to look for any other pregnancy related issues.
The issues that we are evaluating in the elective prenatal ultrasound session include a limited diagnostic scan to confirm heartbeat, the number of babies in the pregnancy, the position of the baby, and the placental location. Please note, at no time is this exam to be used in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound.
Q: Is it safe? Are there any risks to me, or my baby?
Extensive studies over 30 years have found that ultrasound has not been shown to cause any harm to mother or baby. Routine scanning of all pregnancies is now normal throughout the United States. In 3D, 4D and Real Live HD scanning exactly the same type and intensity of ultrasound is used as with conventional 2D scanning. 3D, 4D and Real Live HD Ultrasound utilize sound waves to look inside the body. The technology is similar to radar. A probe placed on the body emits sound waves into the body, listens for the return echo and generates an image. 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasound will be similar to a conventional scan in terms of exposure.
Q: What kind of ultrasound equipment do you use to perform the 2D, 3D, 4D & Real Live HD ultrasounds?
We use the state-of-the-art GE Voluson S8 ultrasound system to complete all ultrasound examinations. The GE Voluson S8 has been seen in GE television commercials and many printed articles from around the world. This machine is the best 2D, 3D, 4D & Real Live HD ultrasound machine available.
Please note, many organizations claim to use “state-of-the-art” equipment, when in fact they use older or inferior technology. Only the GE equipment generates HD images with amazing clarity and gives you the same clarity with 4D imagery of your baby in motion. Our sonogram equipment allows you to see your baby in live motion video unlike any other on the market today.
Q: Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are necessary for all of our services.
All appointment reservations are made on-line by you. Please click the ‘Appointments‘ tab located here on our website. Then select the date/time that works best for you and your entire party.
All appointment reservations require a debit card or a credit card to be on file. The card on file is solely for the Cancellation and No Show Policy (see below for full policy details)
Please know you are more than welcome to pay with CASH or any major debit/credit card when you arrive at the Studio.
** Please Note ~ PAY WITH CASH AND SAVE!! Packages and items purchased with a debit card or a credit card will have a 4% increased price assessed to them.
Q: Am I required to bring anything with me to my 2D, 3D, 4D and Real Live HD appointment?
YES! We need to verify that you are under prenatal care with an OBGYN or Midwife for this pregnancy. There are several ways this can be accomplished. Please choose one of the following options:
• OPTION 1: Please email or bring a black and white thermal ultrasound picture to your Sweet Baby O’ Mine appointment. Your name must be on the ultrasound picture. Please note that the ultrasound picture should be from and/or ordered from your OBGYN or Midwife. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept ultrasound pictures from pregnancy clinics.
• OPTION 2: Please email or bring the signed ‘Prenatal Care Verification’ form. Once you have it, print it out and take it with you to your next OBGYN doctor’s appointment or Midwife appointment. CLICK HERE
• OPTION 3: Bring your Radiology Regional picture CD with you when you visit our Studio.
• OPTION 4: Show a Sweet Baby O’ Mine teammate your ‘MyChart’ showcasing your name and your prenatal care provider’s name.
• OPTION 5: Bring your appointment cards that were given to you from your OBGYN or Midwife, your name will be on these.
• OPTION 6: Show a Sweet Baby O’ Mine teammate paperwork you received from your OBGYN or Midwife. ((i.e. – bills, prenatal care instructions, blood work orders, or even a voicemail from your prenatal care provider))
** Please Note ~ You MUST bring proof of prenatal care with you to your ultrasound appointment. We cannot perform a 2D, 3D, 4D or Real Live HD ultrasound without it.
Q: How should I prepare for my 3D, 4D & Real Live HD experience?
STAY HYDRATED by drinking WATER. Ultrasound works best when the sound waves have fluid/water to travel through. A well hydrated system of the mom-to-be will help to optimize the image of your little Sweet Pea.
** Please Note ~ 5 days prior to your 3D/4D experience it is helpful to stay away from drinking caffeinated beverages.**
Q: I know you recommend staying hydrated by drinking water. How much water should I drink before my 3D, 4D and Real Live HD experience?
5 days prior to your 3D, 4D and Real Live HD experience it is recommended that you aim to drink about 64 fluid ounces (8-ounce glasses) of water per day. Ultrasound works best when the sound waves have fluid/water to travel through. A well hydrated system of the mom-to-be will help to optimize the image of your little Sweet Pea.
Q: Do I need a full bladder?
NO! You do not need a full bladder for your ultrasound at the Sweet Baby O’ Mine Studio. We actually prefer for you to have an empty bladder so your Sweet Pea has more room to move.
Q: My friends/family have told me to eat candy or drink a soda pop before my appointment. Is this something I should do?
NO! We suggest that you bring a fruit juice ((i.e. – orange, apple, grape or berry)) with you to your 3D, 4D and Real Live HD experience. However, we ask that you do NOT drink it. It is ideal to see what your little Sweet Pea is doing first before you drink your fruit juice. Many times little Sweet Peas are doing the right amount of movement and Mommy-to-be doesn’t have to drink any fruit juice during her visit.
Q: Can I keep in my belly ring and/or abdomen piercings during my ultrasound experience?
NO! We ask that all belly/midriff piercings be removed prior to your arrival at the Sweet Baby O’ Mine Studio.
Q: When should I arrive to the Sweet Baby O’ Mine Studio?
The Mom-to-be should arrive 25 minutes prior to the scheduled 3D, 4D and Real Live HD appointment. Family and friends should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled 3D, 4D and Real Live HD appointment. Early arrival enhances everyone’s experience.

** Snowbird Season ~ During Florida’s Tourist Season please leave your home extra extra extra early as traffic can be quite challenging.
Q: What should I wear when I come to Sweet Baby O’ Mine for my ultrasound?
We suggest that you wear jeans/slacks. We keep the Studio very cold. You’re welcome to wear shorts or capris but jeans/slacks would be more comfortable for you. If you choose to wear a skirt or dress please make sure you are wearing shorts underneath. Many times you are asked to move into positions where a dress or skirt can be extremely revealing.
** Please Note ~ We ask that belly/midriff piercings be removed prior to your arrival to the Sweet Baby O’ Mine Studio.
Q: How long does the 2D, 3D, 4D and Real View HD ultrasound take?
Regardless of the package you choose please plan on spending about one full hour here at the Studio.
** Please Note ~ Ultrasounds at the Sweet Baby O’ Mine Studio will not exceed thirty minutes.
Q: How far along should I be before I have a 2D, 3D, 4D and Real View HD ultrasound?
If you plan on having only one ultrasound experience, we would recommend scheduling between the 24th and 34th week of the pregnancy. However, excellent images of your baby can be obtained anytime after about 22 weeks of pregnancy. Many mothers obtain more than one 3D, 4D and Real View HD ultrasound and have images to enjoy from their second and third trimesters. You can come in as early as 14 weeks for gender determination.
** Twins / Multiples ~ If you plan on having only one 3D, 4D and Real View HD ultrasound experience, we would recommend scheduling between the 24th and 28th week of the pregnancy.
Q: Will I always get a beautiful image of my baby?
COMPLIMENTARY REPEAT SCAN GUARANTEE
Usually, but not always – sometimes if the baby is persistently looking face down, ((i.e. directly towards Mommy’s spine for the 3D, 4D & Real View HD experience)) it may be difficult to see the baby’s face. If this happens, a complimentary repeat scan will usually succeed because the baby has turned to a favorable position. We make no promises that the images will be similar to those you might have seen elsewhere or even from our Studio, or that we can always meet everyone’s expectations. Every baby scans differently, depending on its gestational age, position, amount of fluid, and mother’s condition. We promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images of whatever parts of the baby that can be seen.
Remember to ~ STAY WELL HYDRATED by drinking WATER. Ultrasound works best when the sound waves have fluid/water to travel through. A well hydrated system of the Mom-To-Be will help to optimize the image of your little Sweet Pea. Aim to drink about 64 fluid ounces (8-ounce glasses) of water per day for 5 days prior to your 3D, 4D & Real View HD experience. (Water = Better Pictures!)
Please Note ~ This ‘Complimentary Repeat Scan Guarantee’ excludes scenarios in which Mommy-To-Be has not properly hydrated prior to her appointment, thus resulting in unclear images.
Q: Will I have to pay if I am not satisfied with the results?
COMPLIMENTARY REPEAT SCAN GUARANTEE
Our best customer is a happy one! We get more business from word of mouth then anything else. In the rare event the baby is in a position that does not allow for satisfactory pictures we’ll make arrangements, usually within seven days, to have you try again.
Please Note ~ This ‘Complimentary Repeat Scan Guarantee’ excludes scenarios in which Mommy-To-Be has not properly hydrated prior to her appointment, thus resulting in unclear images.
Q: Can I bring my family and friends?
Absolutely, this is an event for your family and friends to enjoy with you. The more the merrier!!! Your guests view this special experience on two 50” flat screen televisions in our comfortable, living room setting.
The only time we suggest you have a smaller more intimate guest list (parents-to-be) is when you are purchasing the ‘Peek at Me’ package which is an early peek of your sweet baby.

For those family members and friends who are unable to accompany you to your ultrasound, we offer our exciting Sonostream LIVE technology whereby they can watch your ultrasound session live, in real-time over the internet from the comfort of their home or office! Q: How do I use the Sonostream technology?
- Go to www.SonostreamLive.net
- Click onto “Mommy Login”
- Enter the email address you gave when you made your appointment
- Enter the password you were given ((the password can be found in your email from Sonostream))
- Invite your guests by entering their email addresses

Q: As the Mom-to-be should I consider purchasing Sonostream for myself?
Absolutely, as you can save the Sonostream video of your little Sweet Pea as a digital movie on your iPhone, iPad, Android or other Tablet Devices. This makes it easy to relive and share this amazing experience anytime you want. Say……. you’re out to lunch with the girls and you want to share a NARRATED EVENT of what your baby was doing during your 3D, 4D and Real Live HD experience = YOU CAN!
Q: Are you able to tell the sex of the baby?
COMPLIMENTARY REPEAT SCAN GUARANTEE
Yes, in most cases we can provide an indication of the sex of the baby. We can’t however guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental stage, amount of fluid, mother’s condition and fetal position all affect the ability to determine sex. If by chance the baby is uncooperative during the session and we are unable to determine the sex of the baby, we will schedule a complimentary repeat scan for a later date.
** Please Note ~ Gender Determined as early as 14 weeks.
Q: What if I DO NOT want to know the gender of my baby?
No problem! We believe that waiting to find out what you’re having is an amazing surprise to get at the end of a long 9 months! It’s no problem at all to avoid that area on the baby so that gender is kept a secret until delivery day.
Q: I want to have a gender reveal party. Will you place the gender of my baby into a secret envelope?
YES – ABSOLUTELY!
Q: Should I plan to spend extra if I’m carrying multiples?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Here at Sweet Baby O’ Mine we do not charge extra for multiples.
Q: Is the 2D, 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasound covered by Insurance?
This is an elective procedure so they do not cover it. We do accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and Cash. We cannot accept personal checks.

Q: Is there a copyright on my ultrasound photos?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! We highly encourage you to print multiple images for yourself, family members and/or friends. *** Bearer May Reprint Images Without Limitations ***
Q: Is there a copyright on my ultrasound movie?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! We highly encourage you to duplicate the movie for yourself, family members and/or friends. *** Bearer May Duplicate their Movie Without Limitations ***
Q: Can you accommodate appointments outside of normal business hours?
Yes, we can absolutely accommodate appointments outside of our normal business hours. If this is something that you are interested in please email the owner directly. Her email address is info@SweetBabyOMine4D.com.
Q: What is the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasounds?
A 2D ultrasound is watching your baby in 2 dimension (black and white), which is usually what you get to see when you go to the doctor’s office. A 3D ultrasound is a static 3 dimensional image of your baby and 4D adds the dimension of *time*, allowing you to see your baby’s movements in the womb live in real time. A Real Live HD ultrasound is an extraordinary rendering method generating amazingly realistic images. Real View HD supports shadows, a virtual light source and advanced skin rendering technique. This cool new method provides a superb image quality like no other.
You will go home with still images of your baby in 2D, 3D and HD but the most miraculous part of your experience with us is seeing your baby move inside the womb. Watch as they smile, yawn, give a thumbs-up and play with their toes. We spend the majority of your session in this mode so that you don’t miss any of your little Sweet Peas precious movements. All of our sessions are done in 4D mode with the exception of gender determination. Our gender determination is done primarily in 2D for better accuracy.

Q: Do you offer discounts to repeat clients?
YES – ABSOLUTELY! All previous Sweet Baby O’ Mine families receive a discount on their next pregnancy.

Q: How much does it cost?

All clients are invited to an encore performance. Return for a repeat visit, during the same pregnancy, and receive the same exact package as your first appointment for a return visit coupon price.

Q: What is your Cancellation Policy?
Your appointments are very important to us!! They are reserved especially for you. We understand schedules can be extremely hectic. If by chance you are unable to attend your 2D, 3D/4D/Real Live HD experience we require that you PLEASE call and/or email us a minimum of 24 hours in advance. More times than not we have a long waitlist so we ask that you allow someone else to enjoy your time-slot if you’re unable to do so.
We confirm and remind clients of their appointments via text, email, and/or telephone.
We ask that Mom-to-be arrives 25 minutes prior to her scheduled appointment time. We ask that family and friends arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time. Early arrival enhances everyone’s experience. A late arrival will result in either a rescheduling or a shortened appointment time. This will be at the discretion of the Sweet Baby O’ Mine staff. Unfortunately, running into the next client’s scheduled appointment time cannot make up for a late arrival.
Please understand that when you forget, change your appointment without enough notice, cancel or no show we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment with another Mommy-to-be. Everyone’s time is extremely valuable. Please be courteous of our 24-hour cancellation policy.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR SWEET BABY O’ MINE APPOINTMENT IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL!!
Any cancellation not made with a 24 hours notice will result in a $75.00 non-refundable charge. The $75.00 charge will also be subject to the 4% credit card fee. The 4% credit card fee will also be non-refundable.
Please Note ~ The non-refundable charge and 4% credit card fee cannot be used as a credit toward future appointments.
Q: What is your No Show Policy?
If you do not show up to your scheduled appointment we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment with another Mommy-to-be.
If you no show to a scheduled appointment please know that:
1. ALL no shows will result in a $125.00 non-refundable charge. Your credit card on file will be charged $125.00 – NO EXCEPTIONS! The no show charge is non-refundable.
The $125.00 non-refundable charge will also be subject to the 4% credit card fee. The 4% credit card fee will also be non-refundable.
Please Note ~ The non-refundable charge and 4% credit card fee cannot be used as a credit toward future appointments.
2. All future appointments must be prepaid prior to rescheduling.
If you’re unable to attend for any reason please be courteous and let us know, a minimum of 24 hours in advance. You can let us know by email or phone.
