3D, 4D & Real View HD Ultrasound Insight

What is the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasounds?

A 2D ultrasound is watching your baby in 2 dimension (black and white), which is usually what you get to see when you go to the doctor’s office. A 3D ultrasound is a static 3 dimensional image of your baby and 4D adds the dimension of *time*, allowing you to see your baby’s movements in the womb live in real time. A Real Live HD ultrasound is an extraordinary rendering method generating amazingly realistic images. Real View HD supports shadows, a virtual light source and advanced skin rendering technique. This cool new method provides a superb image quality like no other.

You will go home with still images of your baby in 2D, 3D and HD but the most miraculous part of your experience with us is seeing your baby move inside the womb. Watch as they smile, yawn, give a thumbs-up and play with their toes. We spend the majority of your session in this mode so that you don’t miss any of your little Sweet Peas precious movements. All of our sessions are done in 4D mode with the exception of gender determination. Our gender determination is done primarily in 2D for better accuracy.

Same Ultrasound, Different Results

Since there have been so many questions raised about the effect of a 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasound on the health of the baby, many parents may decide right away that the procedure is not for them. Actually, a 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasound is just as safe as a 2D Ultrasound that is performed by medical doctors on a regular basis. Both rely on the same high frequency sound waves to bounce back an image from the womb. The only difference is that a 3D, 4D and Real Live HD ultrasound computer program is developed to read the images differently and reproduce a photo of a much higher quality.

Memories That Last From a 3D, 4D & Real View HD Ultrasound

While the blurry black and white blips of 2D ultrasounds might still retain their appeal, they simply cannot compare to the realistic insight that a 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound provides. Instead of mere outlines, a 3D, 4D & Real View ultrasound allows you to see the shape of your baby’s face and to treasure the contour of his or her growing body parts.

Safety First in a 3D, 4D & Real View HD Ultrasound

As a 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound facility committed to safety, we stress that a 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound should never take the place of traditional ultrasounds performed by physicians. A 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound provides an important bonding experience between family and child; an exciting precursor to the life they will share together, but it’s not meant to replace a 2D diagnostic scan. We follow strict guidelines to ensure that your 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound is not only rewarding, but performed with the utmost in safety protocol.

How Do I Prepare for a 3D, 4D & Real View HD Ultrasound?

You can always call and ask us what we recommend before your 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound appointment, but we mostly recommend that you be well-hydrated, although your bladder does not need to be full. Wear comfortable clothing, as our ultrasound technician will need to access your abdomen during the 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound.

The most important thing to remember before your 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound is that there are no silly questions. You are becoming a mother (perhaps again!) and your ability to ask any question that pops into your mind before, during or after your 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound is important.

The nine months of pregnancy can be a stressful time. Each day is full of anticipation and mystery, and a 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound can help you capture some of that excitement and alleviate some of your stress. This technology produces a recognizable face that then lives in the heart of every mother and father and that’s why so many parents are choosing 3D, 4D & Real View HD ultrasound technology. It’s more affordable than you might think and every bit as wonderful as you’ve heard!
